Overall weak light but not broken
The strength of the light is okay at best but heavily depends on the quality and the charge of the batteries used. You pretty much have to use the strongest setting so the mode-switch is useless.
It is difficult to open the battery case of the backlight and it's generally cumbersome to rack the light.
